About the Developer
Built by Hendco Construction, a local home builder for over 15 years
The Canopies of Freeport is built by Hendco Construction, Inc., a local business owned by brothers Tim and Lee Henderson, both second generation home builders. The Henderson brothers take great pride in combining more than a half-century of experience with up to date design and construction techniques in building quality homes while simply offering more home for the money. By being thoroughly involved in every aspect of the building process, Tim and Lee are able to create quality homes that age gracefully while appreciating in value.
Their philosophy has remained the same over the past 15 years; to provide a quality home at an affordable price. Constantly striving to build homes superior to others on the market and to be more competitively priced, the Henderson brothers have always attempted to treat customers with the care and respect they deserve when making one of the most important buying-decisions of their lives. Truly, their ultimate goal is to provide you a home of lasting beauty and enduring value. Tim and Lee Henderson have been fortunate to help hundreds of families realize the “American Dream” of home ownership.
Hendco Construction has completed hundreds of homes and several subdivisions in the past and is currently developing the Canopies of Freeport and will soon commence construction of the Oaks at Eden in a historic part of Walton County. We have homes currently being built in Destin, Sandestin, Seacrest Beach, Destiny East, Town of Santa Rosa, 30-A, Point Washington, Defuniak Springs and Freeport.
The Daily News newspaper had featured us on recent article promoting Canopies of Freeport as an "affordable single-family home ownership with the area's natural beauty. Here is an excerpt from the article:
Freeport - Exemplifying all the qualities that set Northwest Florida apart from other areas, the Canopies of Freeport brings single-family home ownership to a quiet neighborhood.
Builder and developer of the Canopies, Hendco Construction, took the 70 home-site land, located east of State Road 20, and created a neighborhood that appeals to first-time home buyers as well as empty nesters who wish to downsize.
